Not the finish line

A successful corporate seminar is one that instills confidence in the future and enthusiasm for future projects and goals.

At Future Agency, we see ourselves as architects of productivity and fun: we create unique seminars that stimulate thinking and creativity while strengthening team bonds.

We're convinced that a successful seminar is one that blends intelligent work sessions with fun team-building activities, whether it's a day-long event or a trip lasting several days.

Whether in France or abroad, your seminar is a chance to pause, step back, get inspired and build momentum.

A corporate seminar is an event that brings all or some of a company's staff together outside the office, in a different setting thatinspires participants and provides them with a transformative experience.

This immersion in an original setting is the best way to breathe new life into your team and your projects.

A team seminar can meet one or more objectives, depending on duration, content and target audience.

THINKING ABOUT YOUR NEXT SEMINAR?

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU

SUPPORT From A to Z: content & logistics

"Essentially, the problem with most strategy seminars is that they're not structured enough. People think that all they have to do is schedule a meeting, invite the key executives (and possibly an outside expert) and set aside slots of time to discuss important topics, and the rest will take care of itself. In reality, the absence of structure leads to the absence of purpose. Curiously, only rigorously designed meetings give rise to truly frank strategic discussions."

The objectives of the seminar will determine the type of corporate event to be organized. It could be a :

Work seminar: this can be organized when a specific assignment is to be carried out. It is aimed at a group of people with a common objective: to reflect on a project or carry out a mission for the company. Depending on the project, it may involve members of the same team, from different departments within the company, or even outsiders to bring a different vision to the table. The aim of the work seminar is to move forward quickly and efficiently, while fostering a certain group synergy.

Cohesion seminar: also known as a motivational seminar, this type of event is designed to forge links and strengthen team cohesion and a sense of belonging. To achieve this, the emphasis is on fun activities that enable participants to learn to work together differently: team building, sports activities, murder parties, culinary challenges, rallies, etc. The location of the event must also contribute to the creation of a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.

Integration seminar: designed to promote the integration of new employees, this type of seminar is generally organized after a recruitment phase involving a wave of new employees arriving at the same time. The integration seminar focuses more on convivial activities than business meetings. A wide range of activities can be organized, such as escape games, sports activities, quizzes, outdoor Olympics and so on. Through these activities and various verbal exchanges, new employees get to know their colleagues and managers, and immerse themselves in their new working environment in a relaxed atmosphere. This is an effective way of developing social ties and a sense of belonging.

Back-to-school seminar: usually held in September, the back-to-school seminar is of course an opportunity for your staff to get together after the summer vacations, to strengthen ties and get the new year off to a good start, but it's not the only reason! It's also an opportunity for management to present the new challenges for the coming year, the new strategy and to unite teams around common objectives.

Training seminar: this professional seminar can be aimed at all employees, whatever their seniority. The aim may be to train teams in new knowledge, new processes, new tools, new legislation, etc. The idea is to encourage a collective increase in skills. The idea is to encourage a collective increase in skills. The content of the seminar is mainly based on work meetings and conferences, but it's important not to forget to organize more convivial activities to let participants take a breather.

Management seminar : designed exclusively for company managers, this type of seminar enables them to boost their managerial skills, such as communication and team management techniques. The atmosphere of this seminar is rather studious, with work sessions often led by an outside speaker, but some convivial team-building activities are still required.

Sales seminar: the objectives of this professional event are quite similar to those of the management seminar, but with the sales teams. They will have to analyze the methods used, take stock of last year's results and, of course, prepare for the year ahead. And don't forget to include some fun activities to motivate teams and encourage cohesion.

Management seminar: this seminar is organized to bring all executives together and enable them to make a strategic analysis of the company. They will assess the company's performance, take stock of last year's results, make projections for the months or years ahead, and so on. This type of event requires a great deal of upstream preparation, and the seminar setting must be conducive to reflection and seriousness.

Provided it is well organized and has clear objectives, a company seminar can be a real management tool, enabling teams to come together around a common project.

Organizing a seminar is a job in itself. Here are some tips and tricks for an innovative corporate seminar:

Giving meaning and clearly defining objectives: this is essential to get participants involved and motivated. Moreover, communicating objectives clearly helps to ensure the event's effectiveness.

Offer unusual and adapted activities: these activities are your lever for encouraging exchanges, fostering teamwork, stimulating reflection and innovation, and so on. Whether it's a business meeting or a fun activity, this is what participants will take away from the seminar. Make sure that all participants can take part.

Find atypical venues: the choice of venue is of the utmost importance, as it allows you to break out of your company's routine and make the experience unforgettable. Forget aseptic meeting rooms or seminar rooms in unpretentious hotels, choose inspiring venues that will boost creativity and make a lasting impression. Original, modular spaces, châteaux in the vineyards, co-working spaces, luxury apartments, third-party venues... There's no such thing as ONE ideal venue - it all depends on the theme of your seminar. Keep an open mind!

Leading the seminar: the role of the moderator is essential to create a convivial atmosphere, maintain momentum and ensure motivation throughout the event. Call on inspiring speakers.

Communicating about the event: communicating before the event helps to ensure maximum buy-in from participants. Post-event communication is just as important, to share the results of the event and inform participants of the next steps, if any.

Make sure you have quality equipment and services: sound system, broadband connection, video projector, but also catering service and comfortable overnight stays... Nothing should be left to chance! Bear in mind that your seminar is also a reflection of your company.

The course of a seminar is never the same, and will vary according to the objectives set by the company, the number of participants, the duration of the event, the type of company, etc. Nevertheless, there are a few highlights that can be found in all types of seminars for a successful event:

Here is a typology of the visits and meetings you can make during your learning trip:

  • Opening speech: to set a positive mood right from the start, motivate participants and remind them of the purpose of the seminar.
  • Meetings or workshops: these are times for reflection and strategic analysis to meet the objectives of the seminar theme.
  • Fun activities: "lighter" times are essential to bonding teams in a convivial atmosphere.
  • Company evening: this is the perfect way to round off a seminar in a festive atmosphere and "reward" participants with a cocktail reception or gourmet buffet, for example. It can also be an opportunity to choose a prestigious venue.

The duration of a seminar varies according to the type of event, the issues at stake and the activities planned. At the very least, the seminar can be organized over one working day, and up to several days.

One day may indeed be sufficient to communicate information about the company. But the most common format is a two-day or three-day seminar, which leaves plenty of time for workshops and team-building activities. In fact, a residential seminar is one that lasts at least one day, with an overnight stay in a different setting.

In all cases, make sure you plan your events well in advance, allow for breaks between each activity, and alternate between work sessions and social time to combine work and relaxation.
